Teenage Girl Possessed by Ghost
By: Nikkie Simmons
A ghost of unknown origin possessed a teenage girl, Sarah Morley, early yesterday morning while she was watching television with her sister, Janie Morley. "She was just sitting on the couch watching television, and all of a sudden she started spazzing out. I was so scared," Janie told the sheriff when Sarah was taken to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Janie called the emergency line
at 10:32 a.m. She was screaming and she sounded very distressed, but the story
she was telling was
absurd.
"When her sister called the emergency line, at first I didn't believe her,
I thought she was prank calling us. Then I realized she wasn't playing around.
She was serious," said the operator who took the call, Mary Ringero.
Doctors believe her Great Uncle Leroy, on her mom's side of the family, possessed her. He killed himself when Sarah was only three years old, and is believed to have haunted the Morley house ever since. "I guess he just had the chance to possess her, and he took it," said the psychologist who examined Sarah.
Pictures taken of Sarah show the weird state she was in when she was at Butterworth Hospital. Her parents, Gloria and Richard Morley, came to pick Sarah up from the hospital at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. "Oh my goodness! I can't believe this happened!" was all Gloria Morley could say.
