Englishville From A Student's Perspective |

Have you ever walked through the halls of Englishville High School? I have, and I think you'd be surprised at what you'd see. Even though there are only four class rooms, a computer room, an office, the boiler room, and a one stall guy's and a one stall girl's bathroom and a big back porch, it's not all that bad. There are probably more fights at Sparta High School than ever go on here. Englishville isn't what people always say, for instance, "Everybody that goes to Englishville has been to jail at least once," or something stupid like that. I only know of one or two people here that have ever been to juvy, let alone jail. |

We're just normal kids. Like everybody
else in Sparta, we like to play horse shoes. Most of the people chose
to come here, and some just made a few bad decisions when it came to school.
I didn't do anything wrong to come here, I chose to. A normal high school
isn't for everyone. I myself didn't like high school because I was used
to small hicker towns than Sparta with only like 2-300 people in the whole
school.

Before I came to Englishville I thought
it was, well, I really didn't know what to think. I didn't know about
the three posted volleyball net. I had the impression that we had a smoke
break every hour and that people where doing drugs in the bathrooms at
lunch. That's not it at all. People say that most of the girls in Englishville
are pregnant and are all trashy. These kinds of rumors are just not true
at all and I'm here to say that these rumors aren't true. Englishville
deserves more credit than most people give it.
