Ridgeview Elementary School

Ridgeview Elementary School serves about 750 students in grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Sparta, Michigan. The building is home to all of Sparta's students in these grades. Despite the number of students in the building at any one grade level, the staff at Ridgeview Elementary is interested in not only the educational progress of each child, but their emotional and physical well-being as well. In all they do, the staff seek to instill children with a sense of personal worth and importance. This atmosphere of respect is evident in the "Cooperative Discipline" strategies used by teachers with students and in the "No Put Down Zone" message communicated to students via posters and daily announcements.
