Who Are We?

Sparta Sports Boosters is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that promotes and supports all athletic programs in Sparta Area Schools.

What We Do?

The Sports Boosters play a vital role in the success of Sparta Athletic programs. We are an advocate of school spirit and sportsmanship. The boosters donate money to the school we earn through concession and Spirit Wear Sales.

Since 2006, Sparta Sports Boosters has contributed over $150,000!

How Do We Help?

Sparta Sports Boosters help fund all athletic programs. Money raised by the Boosters is used to offset expenses beyond the school’s athletic budget.

• We purchase team uniforms, equipment and athletic trainer supplies.
• We pay for improvements to facilities and playing fields.
• Funds from the Boosters have also been used to cover the cost of team transportation and tournament entry fees.
• We sponsor scholarships for graduating student athletes every year.  

What Can You Do?

Please join us! Helping the Boosters is a great way to have fun and contribute to the success of Sparta athletics!
We need a broad base of participation if we are to remain successful.

• Help is always needed in the concession stands and selling apparel. 
• We also encourage you to consider being a team representative, so you can communicate your team’s needs and wishes directly to Board members.

All adults are welcome - you need not have a child or grandchild involved in athletics. You can choose your level of involvement, from just a few hours of time or a more defined role. Any help you can offer will make a big difference!

You are always welcome to attend our monthly meetings, usually held at Sparta High School the third Monday of every month at 7:00 pm in room 108C. Participation is very important, not only to help plan events and share comments/suggestions/ideas, but also to provide input when policy and financial decisions are made. Board of Directors

Sparta Sports Boosters is governed by their own set of By-Laws. Sparta Sports Boosters is comprised of a Board of Directors and the current Sparta High School Athletic Director.  Board members serve a two-year term. Elections are held in August of the voting year. Notification of upcoming elections is advertised in the Bell Ringer. Anyone is eligible to be considered for a position. Please feel free to contact any member with questions or concerns. It is our goal to dedicate ourselves to the needs of our athletes and students.

• Sparta Education Foundation presents Reelin in the Years, a musical event intended to warm the heart.  Feauting the Bimini Brothers, Jeff Schroeder & the Ridgemateers, The New Sparta High School Choir, Englishville Drum Corps, Sparta Community Theatre & More.   Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 6:30PM.  It will be held in the Sparta High School Auditorium.  Tickets $10 per person and doors open at 6PM.  All proceeds benefit the Sparta Education Foundation's "Extras for Education" and the Sparta Area Schools' Visual & Performing Arts programs.
• Annual Mattress Sale Fundraiser coming Saturday, April 28, 2012!  Held at Sparta High School, 10AM-5PM.
